About Auto-Mobile Stone

Auto-Mobile is a family run, independent garage which has been established in the Stone area since 1994. Throughout this time our aim has been to provide our customers with a quality, professional and personalised service at a competitive price.

Our History

Having worked in various roles within the industry since the early 1960's, Dave decided to start his own business in 1994. With a wealth of experience and a van full of equipment, Auto-Mobile was born.

Within a few years it became necessary to move to workshop premises in order to satisfy the requirements of our customers. The business has evolved steadily over the years, and in 2004 whilst based at Meaford, Dave's son Phil joined him to expand the business further, concentrating particularly on the electrical and diagnostics aspect of the business. Phil had previously worked as an electrical engineer.

In January 2008 we moved to our present workshop premises in Cold Norton, on the outskirts of Stone. Starting with a blank canvas we have been able to equip the workshop to the very highest standard, allowing us to cater for all makes and models of car and light commercial vehicle.

In early 2009, the opportunity to expand the workshop arose and we installed a Class IV MOT testing station. A further 2 service bays have since been added giving us the capacity to carry out the increased workload.

In 2016 Trav joined the team in the role of Workshop Manager. Trav is a very experienced and hugely knowledgeable car and commercial vehicle mechanic with 37 years in the trade.
